Privacy
Draft for the pilot — to be reviewed before public launch. This page describes how the service is built.
No account needed
You can find toilets, give feedback and report problems without an account. Only our staff sign in.
Your location
- We ask for your location only when you tap “Find a toilet near me”. You can search by area instead.
- Your location is used for that search and is not stored. Our logs do not record precise coordinates.
- We never combine your location with advertising identifiers. There is no advertising tracking.
Reports and “I could use it”
- Reports are anonymous and private. We never publish what you wrote.
- To stop abuse we keep a scrambled code derived from your connection (not your IP address) for 30 days.
- The text of resolved reports is deleted after 90 days. Please don't include personal or health information.
Third parties
- Map tiles: loaded from tiles.openfreemap.org, which receives your IP address and the map area you view.
- Directions: when you tap a directions button you leave this site for the map app you chose; its own privacy terms apply.
- Search: postcodes and place names you type are looked up via postcodes.io (open data); nothing else about you is sent.
Your device
We store your last results and preferred map app in your browser (local storage) for convenience. No cookies are set for visitors.
